Hade hört så mycket om serien som börjar med The Bear and the Nightingale av Katherine Arden, så jag var tvungen att låna den på biblioteket. Nu är den utläst.

Hur var boken: Det här var en otroligt mysig bok att läsa. Eftersom jag inte läst på engelska på länge, så tog det en stund att få in läsflytet. Men snart gick det som en dans. Boken handlar om en ung flicka vars mor avlider vid hennes födsel. Hon bor i kalla trakter nära en skog, i vad som skall föreställa Ryssland. Hon är en vild flicka som gärna springer runt i skogen, hon pratar med djur, vattennymfer och andra varelser runt om i byn, och hon ser även ondskan och Vinter Kungen. Man får jättemycket känslan av Rysk folksaga när man läser boken. Den är så fantasifull, jag rent av fantastisk. Längtar jättemycket efter att läsa nästa bok i serien.
